GYM 2021 International Essay Contest.

Summer 2020: International Essay Contest Results
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Summer 2020 GYM International Essay Contest.
This time, we received over 500 entries from students in multiple states across the nation and countries worldwide. Unfortunately, this means that we could not recognize every participant, so we hope that those who were not recognized will participate again in our next competition.

Summer 2020: International Essay Contest
Entry Requirements
Eligibility: Rising 6th grade - Rising 12th Grade
Deadline: July 1st, 2020 (11:59 PM PT)
Submission Requirements:
- Essays should be in 12-point, Times New Roman, single-spaced, and in a Word document.
- The Word document should include your name, grade, and the prompt you'll be answering along with your response.
- All submissions should be sent to GlobalYouthMission@gmail.com by July 1st with the subject as "[AM] 2020 International Essay Contest - Your Name".
Awards
It is highly recommended that all college applicants obtain and mention
at least 5 academic awards on their college applications. This is a great opportunity for future college applicants that are in need of awards. We will award 1st, 2nd, 3rd, finalists, and more in this competition. Additionally, we will add a video of 1st place reading their essay on the Global Youth Mission website (

Writing Prompts
Please limit your essay response to 250-500 words.
1) What is something positive that you have learned, gained, recognized, experienced, etc. from the quarantine?

Please choose one of the three options to write about. All essays should follow the theme: Service. Please limit your essay response to 250-500 words.
1) Explain a cause that is important to you (i.e. women''s rights, homelessness, etc.). Tell us why.
2) What drives you to volunteer? Why is it important to you?
3) Tell us about your most memorable community service experience. How has it influenced you?
